In August, detectives from the New Canaan Police Department responded to five residential burglaries that were reported in the northeast section of town.
Police said that the investigation into the burglaries identified a suspect vehicle - a dark-colored Ford Mustang - that was seen leaving the residence of one of the homes that had just been burglarized.
The investigation into the burglaries by the New Canaan Police Investigative Section and Wilton Police Department led them to two suspects - Shelton residents Daniel Perez, 34, and Alessandra Sillo, 33.
During the investigation, police noted that it was determined that Perez and Silly committed at least two other burglaries in New Canaan, and a warrant was issued for their arrest.
Both Perez and Sillo turned themselves into police custody on Saturday, Oct. 26, where they were charged with two counts each of first-degree larceny, fourth-degree larceny and second-degree burglary. Each posted a $50,000 bond and are scheduled to appear back in court on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to respond to the charges.
